Fitchburg
Fitchburg is the 2nd largest city in the county of Worcester with a population of 41,000. It is the base for Fitchburg State College. Fitchburg is just 46 miles northwest of Boston yet it still retains its small town feeling.
If heading to the Boston area as a student you have choices to attend the University of Massachusetts (UMASS), Boston college and Boston University, which is a private jesuit university.
